Girls' and Boys' Day is the largest career orientation day in Germany, in which JUMO has participated with great commitment for years. This year, 30 students took the opportunity to get to know the world of work at JUMO and gain an insight into technical and commercial professions.
What exactly does JUMO? Where does JUMO high-tech come in? What is AI? Frank Blasinger, Head of Industrial Training, answered these and many other questions. He was supported by a team of motivated trainees and their trainers, who let the children look over their shoulders and supported them in their work.
During the tour through the company, the Girls' and Boys' Day participants were given an overview of the Fulda-based systems and solutions provider's extensive product portfolio. There was also a lot of interesting information when JUMO trainees presented their professions - for example industrial clerk, electronics technician, IT specialist or industrial mechanic (m/f/d) - in more detail. Afterwards, they were allowed to become active themselves and produce their own workpieces under the guidance of JUMO trainers.
Many students took the opportunity to visit their relatives who work at JUMO in the respective areas. “We hope that we were able to arouse interest in JUMO as a cooperative and interesting employer with a future and would be very happy to welcome some of you in a student internship in the future,” concluded Frank Blasinger.
